Geochemical Characteristics and Their Environmental Implications for the Water Regime of Hulun Lake, Inner Mongolia, China

The overall geochemical composition of natural-water regimes reflects the response to long-term interactions between water and surrounding environment in process its circulation. Their characteristics can reflect both aquatic ecological health tracer source, as well budget. In this study, Hulun Lake, a remote lake cold arid area China, was chosen order analyze characteristics, including major ions, stable isotopes (δD δ18O) dissolved organic matter (DOM) water, river groundwater. ions were dominated by Na+ + Ca2+-CO32− concentration groundwater significantly higher than that implying dry climate relatively little human disturbance. δD δ18O values for similar close global meteoric line (GMWL), indicating their sources mainly supplied atmospheric precipitation. However, below GMWL, strong evaporation. DOM groundwater, which affected growth organisms, three-dimensional fluorescence spectrum also proved contribution biomass greater.
